so summer's almost here; any teenagers have any major plans? Are you working somewhere, getting ready to change schools, or just being lazy? I'm determined to leave the house some this summer and not waste another summer away, especially since I'm starting college in the fall.

I'm not exactly a teenager, but what the hell, I'm posting here anyway. lol I'm hoping to get my second guide dog this summer. As for the rest of it, I suppose walking around and geting the dog familiar with its new area, if I have him or her before next semester starts.

I might take a summer class. Nobodys idea of fun. Other than that, I'll figure that out when summer arrives.

I think I'm going to do the work program at my blind school, I will work during the days monday threw friday at Kentucky kingdom, an amusement park, and hang out in the dorms with everyone in the evenings. In between the 2 weeks, on the weekend we will go somewhere rather it be holiday world or something, then work again.
After the 2 weeks, we have one week off while there is no camps going on, then we'll work another 2 weeks. Since I live in town of the park though, I can continue to work there after the program is over. Also my boyfriend will be coming here the last 3 weeks of the summer so, it should be a pretty good one. smiles.

Hopefully, I'll be getting my second guide dog in june or July, getting him used to my neighborhood. lots of reading, and getting every single one one of my CD cases labeled. I'm a neat freak. lol then, when the time comes, I'll have to walk around my school and get used to going to my classes this fall with a cane first, then bring the dog in so he adjusts too.

This summer, I plan to move up to northern california to the living skills center. also, I may or may not get a guide dog this summer, depending on whether they've accepted me to the school or not. My move to LSC may happen anytime this summer. if it happens later, I'll be hanging around my home, getting ready to leave. I'll probably just pass a lot of time at the beach or spending as much time as I can with friends before I leave.

That sounds cool.

BTW, I might be going to an NFB training center. First I have to get accepted. I also have to go to band camp - I'm required to go if I am going to be in band. I have no choice - I have to go, my parents are stupid. They will probably continue to make decisions for me, even when I turn 18. When we go out and perform for people, we have to wear this hot-ass fucking uniform. I think it's made of wool, I'm not sure. I'll stop complaining.

Hmm, let's see. I recently interviewed for an internship in the city so hopefully I'll be participating in that this summer. I also hope to attend the ACB convention in Louisville, still have to get some details about that straightened out. There'll also be a family reunion in mid-July, which will most likely be fun. Aside from that, there will be plenty of reading, relaxing, and hanging out with friends going on.
